Anyone that knows me could tell you what my favorite color is – no, it’s not pink. It’s yellow. The bright, sunshiny, in-your-face kind of yellow. I was always the yellow Power Ranger when I was little and since the beginning of time I’ve held hatred towards bananas for being my favorite color but tasting so so bad. So, it was a shock to me that recently I have been obsessing over rose gold items. The thing with rose gold is that it can be considered copper or simply just be pink metal. There is a range, and some of it simply is too pink for me. Regardless – I’m obsessed and I can’t stop. One day I will have my own Wikipedia page that labels me as the woman with the most rose gold items. Or my cubicle at work will become just like the lady that sits near me who is obsessed with purple. Here are some of my recent purchases that are helping me get there!
The other day I was sitting at my desk and noticed that more tape dispenser was boring. I needed a little umph and tada – Amazon to the rescue. $9 and 2 days later my desk is now blinging out with this copper dispenser.
Apple Watch cases were something I never knew I needed. They come in all colors and materials and really make matching your watch so easy.
I always have loose papers that I can’t keep track of – this thing saved the day. Plus the copper is too cute and matched my tape dispenser perfectly!
I didn’t really have a choice when it came to the color of my Apple Watch as it was given to me. It is the black and space gray 42 mm one. Therefore, I have discovered fun ways to make it more feminine and match my style. This band was super cheap and even came with a handy kit to take out links.
I previously got the iPhone 6s and was only semi impressed with the color. It moves towards the pink side and any aspect of gold just isn’t there. However, I recently got a new phone and couldn’t move away from the rose gold as I have grown to love it. I now find myself with an even larger iPhone 7s Plus – and I actually love it.
I’m a 3-cup-a-day kind of girl, but sometimes it takes me awhile. This mug keeps my coffee piping hot from 8 am until almost noon. It’s insane. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to clean and the color is fantastic.
I am semi-competent when it comes to doing my eye shadow. Somewhere in between no longer using those foam brush applicators and too afraid to try a smoky eye. Therefore, Naked palettes and palettes in general are the best. They make it easy to find the base colors and colors that blend well together.
Some quick facts about what exactly true rose gold is:
The highest karat version of rose gold is also known as crown gold, which is 22 karat. Eighteen karat red gold may be made of 25% copper and 75% gold. For 18 karat rose gold, typically about 4% silver is added to 75% gold and 21% copper to give a rose color.
